Time and tide
They say "time and tide wait for no man". Most times, I find that rather true.
Like a couple of weeks ago when it was a mad mad rush to get the wedding invitations out, I thought things would go wrong and I was getting all stressed and upset. Time was going quicker than I'd ever felt it going. But from the moment I took the invitaions into the Post Office to be posted all that stress, upset and weight on my mind left me, and time seemed to slow down to a more comfortable speed!

Tomorrow is five weeks til the big day. And I can't wait, but it's a kind of relaxed impatience. Not a "wishing my life away" kind of feeling. Just a happy to plod along at a respectable pace and get the things done on the dates we've made the appointments for kind of feeling.

"Fizzgig"

Photo: "Fizzgig" a few weeks ago.
We have a yabby called "Fizzgig" he (or she!?) has been with us since December 2004. He (for the sake of the blog) has shed his shell twice since we have had him.

Well last night, he did it again. I was sitting at the dining room table checking over the wedding plans and guest list etc, when I noticed he was sitting very still and look a "bit off colour". I went over to him and he tried to move away, but was unable to. Then I noticed another "yabby" staring at me from the opposite side of the tank. Fizzgig had shed his shell sometime during the course of the day!

Suddenly everything fell into place, why he'd not eaten anything for the past three days and why he was a bit more grumpier than usual. So, hopefully by Monday he'll be back to normal and will "have a go at" (attack/threaten) anyone, through the glass, that walks past his tank.

World of Warcraft
... it really does take over your life!

Question of the month: How do you like your coffee (or tea)?

Myth: Housework. Once it's done, you can sit down and have a rest.

About me...
At the beginning of 2001 I moved to a little country town in the middle of Victoria (Australia) about 65kms from the town I was born and grew up in. It's a fairly peaceful historic town nestled at the foot of the Strathbogie Ranges. I live here with my husband in a house we bought in 2002. When we have the time and money we paint parts of the house, do some more gardening, and workout what renovations we can do to the house next... and also try to keep up with each day as it passes.
Messages ...
If I can find something similar to tagboard on the net that is customisable, I will put it here. Any ideas you can put my way?.
