Avalon International Airshow
Well, I tried to spend most of the day in the shade of a building (facing south) and watching as much of the (air)show as I could while staying in the shade.

I was fairly glad to be on the way home afterwards. There's nothing like going to the Airshow and getting home feeling like you'd been through a sandstorm.

First thing to do when you're in the coach going home, is to blow your nose, as it's pretty much going to be full as a goog with dust, sand and dirt.

It was a very good day but it is still so good to be home.

A wedding in a river side park (reserve)
CJ's best (one of) friends got married today. After going to "the town where I grew up" and checking into a hotel, we travelled about 1.5 hrs to get there, and despite our efforts to be one time, we were a couple of minutes late because of no directions and also not quite knowing how to drive down to the particular spot on the (Murray) River's edge.

We shouldn't have worried so much, the wedding didn't start until 2:30pm (half an hour after the time specified on the invite.

It was a very nice ceremony, she looked beautiful.

The reception was in a little town approx 3/4 hr from where the wedding was. There was a "Roving Roast" (roast meat (beef & pork) and roast vegies) it was a fantastic meal.

We stayed for a bit, unil they'd cut the cake, and we quietly made our way back to "the town I grew up in" and went up to our hotel room.

Apart from the noise of being over a pub on a Saturday night, it wasn't a bad little hotel room for $70.

We got up early the next morning and prepared outselves for the ..... (pls see next post)

A well planned surprise paty.
Well today was the surprise birthday party for my Grandmother. My auntie had called me about two months ago and mentioned that it was nan's birthday coming up soon, aaid how bout we do somehting. I naturally agreed.

Well we were all a bit worried that someone was going to let something slip, and the surprise would go out the window.

But it didn't.

CJ and I managed to talk nan into getting out of the car when we got to the hall where everyone was waiting inside and naturally when she began to approach the door, they all began to walk out of it. The look on nan's face was priceless. She was totally surprised.

She had a wonderful day, as did the rest of us. It's the first surprise party I've ever had a part in organising and it would have to be the best. It was so good.

World of Warcraft
... it really does take over your life!

Question of the month: How do you like your coffee (or tea)?

Myth: Housework. Once it's done, you can sit down and have a rest.

About me...
At the beginning of 2001 I moved to a little country town in the middle of Victoria (Australia) about 65kms from the town I was born and grew up in. It's a fairly peaceful historic town nestled at the foot of the Strathbogie Ranges. I live here with my husband in a house we bought in 2002. When we have the time and money we paint parts of the house, do some more gardening, and workout what renovations we can do to the house next... and also try to keep up with each day as it passes.

If I can find something similar to tagboard on the net that is customisable, I will put it here. Any ideas you can put my way?.
