I don't think I mentioned that I watched (the original) "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (with Gene Wilder) for the first time!!!
Well I did, thought it was about time I watched it to see what all the fuss is/was about.
Also, I've not forgotten about my Sydney trip, that post will arrive soon.
Impending doom!
There's no "impending doom" I just don't like flying in planes, my inner ear (left ear) is up the proverbial creek when it comes to flying, and it has a tendancy to make me sick, I tend not to stop even after I've purged all the bile from my body, I still have some kind of reserve somewhere that kicks into action.
I know it is only a 1.5hr trip from Melbourne to Sydney, but I'm still not looking forward to it.

I've got no idea how to update my journal using my mobile phone, it would be handy if I could, but *shrug* oh well :-)

Bookings
Well we've got our Rail tickets, our Plane tickets and our hotel is booked.
We're getting closer to the "big event" I'm getting rather excited. It'll be good to go away for a couple of days, and see some new sights :-)
Holiday destinations
Most of yesterday and pretty much all of today has been thinking about going away for the second week of our holidays.
We've done our homework and are thinking about going to Sydney for 4 days (3 nights).
It should be good. I'm looking forward to it.

The last time I was in Sydney, I think was when I was about 7 years old. Approximately 21 years ago!!!!! *Good Lord, that makes me feel old!!*
Jeanette & Mum
Went to my former home town today (where I grew up) had a look around, went and saw Spiderman 2 *I quite liked it :)* and then went out to put flowers on Jeanette & Mum's grave.
I don't dwell on this very often anymore (out loud to anyone, that is, I keep it to myself) so if this gets a bit morbid, I appologise. Yesterday 04/07/04 was my sister Jeanette's 30th birthday and 30 years since she died (3 and a 1/2 days old) on 07/07/04. Also 02/06/04 was 7 years since my/our Mum passed away. It's Mum's birthday on 18/07/04.

me...
At the beginning of 2001
I moved to a little country town in the middle
of Victoria (Australia) about 65kms from the
town I was born and grew up in. It's a fairly
peaceful historic town nestled at the foot of
the Strathbogie Ranges. I live here with my
husband in a house we bought in 2002.
When we have the time and money we paint parts of the house,
do some more gardening, and workout what renovations we can do to the house next...
and also try to keep up with each day as it passes.
