I feel that I did the right thing about that job yesterday.

*can't think of a subject*
I went to an interview for a job today. 10kms on the east side of Shepp. A total of 60kms from my home.
Was told this would be a computer job (involving the use of computers (my qualifications/skills) but it turns out it was just a "gopher" job.

Running errands, making coffee, sweeping/mopping floors, getting the mail from the Post Office (another 10 kms further north of Shepp) for $15 per hour. To go on for a 3 months trial, then to continue after that "full time" for $13 per hour half a day at that place then the other half day at a place on the West side of Shepp (ie across town).
Using my (CJ's) car!! After the price of the petrol is taken out, I would be earning the same as I am on Jobsearch (Newstart)

Did I do the wrong or right thing by turning down the job?

He's been good enough to let me use his car, this would run it into the ground, he's only just finished paying it off.

Job agencies (Employment Network places) that help you find a job, are good, but ... when they ask you what kind of job you would like to have (or in my case, what I'm qualified to do - Office Admin) you'd think they'd try to get you an interview for that position (there are plenty around)

The girl who interviewed me, had my Resume sitting in front of her, and she asked me if I was computer literate!
I was so dumbstruck at such a silly question. There is basically nothing on my Resume but my skills on the computer.

And my nan wonders why CJ and I are not as social as others our age are.

It's cos some ppl are dumb!!! They do and say the most silliest things. I mean really dumb. And they seem to ........ come at you and stick to ya like shit on a shoe. While the intelligent ppl you want to be around can't get near you for the silly ppl.

*wonders if that made sense*

World of Warcraft
... it really does take over your life!

Question of the month: How do you like your coffee (or tea)?

Myth: Housework. Once it's done, you can sit down and have a rest.

About me...
At the beginning of 2001 I moved to a little country town in the middle of Victoria (Australia) about 65kms from the town I was born and grew up in. It's a fairly peaceful historic town nestled at the foot of the Strathbogie Ranges. I live here with my husband in a house we bought in 2002. When we have the time and money we paint parts of the house, do some more gardening, and workout what renovations we can do to the house next... and also try to keep up with each day as it passes.
Messages ...
If I can find something similar to tagboard on the net that is customisable, I will put it here. Any ideas you can put my way?.
